Lijiang is a old town after all.So we strongly suggest you call us at the first moment if you have a chinese number or ask the taxi driver make a phone call to us.If you can not catch a taxi you could turn to stuff of the bus or train station,ask their help to contact us. Hey, this is Apan, say hi from Lijiang.
I had been moving around China for so many years since I left my hometown Shaoxing in East of China in 1988. After living in several big mega cities in China, I felt so tired of noise, money-persuing business man, and anxious life,so I started to look for my 'Shangri-la'. Finally I found a lovely Courtyard in Lijiang, on ancient Southern Silk Road in northwest mountain region of Yunnan Province. I soon fell in love with this tiny town, which has been listed in UNESCO list of world heritage.
I began to create my beautiful nest for myself and backpackers to share the joy of living in such lovely town. Among the hundreds of hostels and guest houses in Lijiang, my nest, later I called 'Panba Hostel', is different from others.My hostel is located in a quiet area in this town, so the night bars and screaming sound from drunk tourists can never disturb you and get through your ears, though it's just couple of minutes walk to the 'Si Fang Square' which is considered the 'Headquater of Lijiang's night life'. Courtyard of my hostel remains in the original structure of traditional Naxi people's house so while staying in my place you have chance to get closer look into the Naxi culture. After dark, when everybody comes back, my little bar becomes a heaven for backpackers, no expensive beers, and exaggrated price on food, I just want to make my place as a real home away from home for travelers which also is what I was looking for when I was traveling.

If you are interested in my little place and the travel information about this area (like hiking in Tiger Leaping Gorge, cycling to several secret old villages and much more), I'd like to share my 2 years experience of living in Lijiang with all of you!

Designed in the traditional vernacular Naxi style, the Guesthouse uniquely fuses the atmosphere of traditional housing with the convenience of modern facilities.

【From the airport】

a)Take the airport shuttle bus （15RMB/person）
----get off at lantian hotel (蓝天宾馆)in lijiang new town ,and then take a taxi (10-15RMB)to our hostel

the tourist city driver always drop you off at some famous area,where is not close to hostel ,let them call us or you call .we will push them to drop you off near to us

-----Reserve it in advance ,( 12 hours before ) email will be perfect
-----Arrival date 、flight Number ,your full name required
-----the driver meets you with the paper written in your name at exit in the airport
---- we suggest the guest take this option, when your flight arrives in lijiang at night
Or family travel or friends travel together, cause the vehicle can take 6 people once

【From bus station】
----Usually you will arrive in lijiang new bus station or Express bus station
---take a taxi (10-15RMB) cost

【From train station】
---take a taxi (20RMB) to our hostel
---take a No.13 bus in the square of train station ,then get off at gas station (石油公司) ，cross the street ,you will see the big entrance going down to the old town ,meanwhile ,you will find a sign on the wall says "panba hostel direction" follow the sign ,turn right , 2 mins you will get the hostel .

【From within the old town】
Take the Wuyi Street (Wuyi Jie) from the busy Market Square (Si Fan Jie), pass both the Old Stone Bridge and the Small Stone Bridge and continue until you see Copper making family go staight 200meters . following the sign on the wall .We are right next to the school.

1)shut the door at midnight . 2)Tiger leaping Gorge Shuttle bus leaving at 7.40am at Hostel 3)Lugu Lake tourist Bus leaving around 8.10am Due to the peak season of Lijiang, reservations can be kept valid until 6pm on your arrival day AND become available to the hostel again after 6pm.
