2 minutes from Place D'Jeema el Fna, Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge would like to assault the senses of those arriving from grey skies with a family run backpackers hostel so colourful it will make your eyes tingle; so kind and friendly it will refresh your spirit in a place where the coffee is so spicy, sweet (and free) that your taste-buds will buzz with excitement (and the caffeine!), and the possibilities will feel endless
Hostel Riad Marrakech Rouge is the bright, soulful home for down to earth, adventurous, happy travellers with an open mind and heart, ready to extend their comfort zone and experience the sparkly maze of Marrakech and beyond.
There is a choice of clean, comfortable private rooms and mixed dormitories to rest your head. Relax in one of the many communal areas; a rainbow rug draped, pumpkin adorned (yes - it is Berber decoration) courtyard lounge where breakfast is served and entertainment is spontaneous. Share the sun on the terrace with new friends and the odd inquisitive tortoise, or seek the shade in the Berber tent with a view (and satellite TV). Defying the winding staircases, our staff will bring you tea, coffee and shisha all day and all night long; the views are amazing and the company is marvellous!
If you feel able to tear yourself away, we can organise excursions from Sahara Rouge at a moments' notice and our staff know the city of Marrakech better than any Google search! If you fancy yourself as a bit of a chef, we can offer cookery courses from bargaining for tomatoes in the vegetable souq, to a finished tagine to be shared (it is after all a hostel!)

Marrakech Rouge loves children - if your family would like to experience a hostel atmosphere Marrakech style, children are absolutely welcome and under 5s are free! However, we do request that parents and guardians supervise their children at all times.
Guests who cancel under 48 hours before arrival or do not show up will be charged the full price of their stay. It will not be possible to change the reservation once you have arrived.

This hostel is excellent. The Hostel is very clean and the staff is excellent. I stayedtwo nights and went on an overnight excursion to the Sahara. When I returned the hostel didn't have any available beds and I had forgotten to make a reservation. However, the staff called another hostel and arranged for someone to pick me up and take me to the new one. Malik ad Achmed at the Rouge and Azdin and abdellatif at the Rainbow hostel were amazing hosts! Wesley, from USA ~ 25th Jan 2013

Ali and the entire Staff are WONDERFUL, we met lots of great and interesting people and our stay would be perfect IF the hotel management did not allowed people to smoke inside the building. IN Fact if you do not like cigarette or the smell of smoke, you should NOT stay there, PERIOD. It is horrible, day and night, people are smoking NON STOP not only water pipes which is OK, but also tons of cigarettes, H, etc The breakfast is NOT vegan, not even fruits are served but few cheap cakes Read Owner Comments PATRICK, from France ~ 6th Oct 2012
