Located in downtown Ottawa, just a short walk away from the city's major tourist attractions, shopping, night clubs and convention sites, the Barefoot Hostel offers 16 dorm beds (across four rooms), free internet access, and a great backyard patio in the summertime.
Our hostel is a popular landing spot amongst solo travellers, young business professionals, undergrads, masters and PhD students, US Visa applicants and different groups of up to 16 people. Larger groups can rent the whole house (16 beds) to enjoy complete privacy.
This hostel has a colourful stylish interior, a beautiful spacious common room with a 50'HD flat panel TV, DVD player and movies, two computers for the guests' use, a big fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tea kettle. Rooms consist of four-bed mixed dormitories with bunk beds and there are two large shared bathrooms. You can enjoy our backyard garden/patio with a barbeque in the summer.
Accommodation includes daily housekeeping service, linens and towels, shampoo and bath gel, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
**A 13% tax is not included and is due upon check in. Check-in: 3pm to 11pm. Must check in before 11pm; please have a picture ID and credit card. Check-out is 11am. You can change method of payment when you arrive. The cancellation policy is (by 6pm) 48 hours prior to the check in date. Our Hostel is non-smoking. Please take your shoes off when you enter. Ultra-clean hostel. Everything was spotless. The bunk beds were very comfortable with firm matresses and warm comforters. The hostel offers nice facilities including free wi-fi, two modern computers, and a big flat screen TV with dvds people can watch in the common room. The kitchen has modern appliances and free tea. Hostel is in walking distance frommost of Ottawa's main attractions. The staff were helpful whan I had a request. I like this hostel very much and would stay here again. Centrally located hostels in Ottawa. I stayed in HI Jail Hostel as well and I liked my stay at Barefoot better. THey have a nice lounge/living area that the Jail Hostel doesn't have. The teenagers who were in the other room were very noisy after 1100pm quite time but I guess you can't fault the hostel for that. Plenty of couches and tables in the living area.
