Located in the heart and soul of Sydney, the Funkhouse is a unique, upbeat hostel famous for it's friendly social atmosphere and funky murals.
With only three-to-four beds per dorm you can book a room with your mates.
At the Funk House all our doubles and twins have TVs, fridges and duvets and rooms have fans to beat that summer heat. With its large common areas, cable TV and a chilled rooftop terrace area with our famous weekly BBQs, you can relax and sink a couple of beers while watching the sunset over city and harbour views. There's a fully equipped kitchen for you to use and laundry facilities, too.
During your stay @ the Funkhouse you'll receive free breakfast, one hour free Internet access, a free walking tour of Sydney, free travel advice and free bed linen. You'll also get a free Welcome Pack, including food and drink vouchers, a free sim and phone card and free job-seeking membership.
From the Funk House it's an easy walk to Sydney's most famous attractions including the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, The Rocks, Sydney Tower, Darling Harbour and Sydney Aquarium and Taronga Zoo.

Please be aware that special conditions apply over the Christmas and New Years Period - Please check on our website for more information. There cannot be any check-ins or check-outs on Christmas day (25th Dec) or New Years day (1st Jan). On arrival, you are required to pay for the total nights you have booked. We accept payments by cash, credit card, eftpos or Australian dollar travellers' cheques. If you need to cancel your booking a minimum of 48 hours notice is required, otherwise you will be charged for the nights you have booked. Safe travels to all and we look forward to seeing you.

The day that we should go to the airport we discovered that those who sold us the passage of the shuttle bus we lied and did not work all night. The reception girl did absolutely nothing to help and showed obscured our view. Also went on a bus organized by the hostel to a pub where supposedly free drinks would give us 8 to 9 and 8 and a half when we did not give any drink!
